RootsTown Music Free-zine 85 - 2004 (Belgium):

“Red hot mama Andrea Dagmar Brown delivers, together with her Seductones, a little CD full of up-tempo R&B, '50s and '60s rock'n'roll, and '60s country. Food for the jukebox. A powerful version of 'Red Hot' by Billy 'The Kid' Emerson and likewise for 'Stupid Cupid' by Neil Sedaka. Beautiful versions of 'Let's Have a Party' and 'Since I Met You Baby' would make Jessie Mae Robinson and Ivory Joe Hunter proud. Most of the remaining songs are by one R. Swenson and include some snappy rockers such as 'Don't Stop' and 'Living a Lie.' 'Lucky Stars' is unapologetically reminiscent of Buddy Holly.

“The Seductones consists of three musicians who come from rich musical backgrounds. Guitarist Bob Newcaster played with, among others, Billy Hancock, Robert Gordon, Vernon Taylor, Bo Diddley, Jack Scott, Narvel Felts, The Clovers, etc. Stand-up and electric bassist Bryan Smith sat in in the studio with Billy Hancock and toured with all sorts of great country acts. Drummer Dave Elliott was at one time a member of the legendary Danny and the Fat Boys, yes, Danny Gatton's first group, and toured with Les Paul, Hot Tuna, Bill Kirchen, and Johnny Seaton. And then let's not forget pianist Arthur Barry, who regularly treads up all 88 keys. This Dagmar and The Seductones deliver here a seductive little CD.”
