Lonesome Train Dagmar and The Seductones On Haitus A Message to Our Friends and Fans for 2012 Thanks for your support, and always a warm welcome to our new friends and fans! If you've wondered what Dagmar and The Seductones have been up to, life for Dagmar this past year plus some months has involved doctors, tests, procedures, surgeries, recuperation, medication and lots of bills. On September 14, 2010, Dagmar was diagnosed with breast cancer (Google “DCIS”). On the bright side, over a year has passed since our lead gal, Dagmar, a.k.a. purveyor of “sexy rockabilly” was treated, and the results are lookin' good, the doctors are confident that she's cancer free and believe it is likely she will stay that way. She considers herself very lucky as do we. She sends her warm wishes for good health to those who are forced to continue their struggle with this nasty disease. The band has been on hiatus without Dagmar, of course. She's had a lot to deal with including major and minor surgeries and medical procedures (all part of bearing breast cancer's financial, physical and psychological stresses and burdens). Although she hasn't been able to perform for too long, (much longer than she'd like), she's hoping if all goes well to be back on the scene soon. Some friends have suggested having a benefit; it's a sweet idea but a little complicated. If we decide to, we'll let you know. She'd love to record new tracks she wrote while recovering. Recovery has taken longer than we'd hoped or expected, but we are looking forward to seeing her for real, not just on youtube, in those hi-hemmed skirts and platform shoes, singing her heart out and bouncing around on a stage near you with her usual joie de vivre.
